AT&T 5G network will be officially opened in the next few weeks

According to media reports, AT&T Mobile Business General Manager John Donovan said in a quarterly conference call for shareholders that the AT&T 5G network will be officially opened in the next few weeks.
5G network

AT&T's 5G network will provide services based on 3GPP's early published 5G standards, which can be called the first "true 5G" network in the global market. At the same time, Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint will launch 5G networks in the next few weeks, but limited to parts of the United States, and AT&T will be ahead of other competitors and become the operator of the first US 5G network.

According to John Donovan, the 5G network will be opened in a small number of cities. The first cities to offer 5G networks will be Dallas, Waco, Texas, Atlanta, Georgia, and Charlotte, North Carolina. Raleigh, and Oklahoma City in Oklahoma.

Since there is no mobile phone that can support 5G network, AT&T will launch 5G mobile hotspot products first, so that consumers can convert 5G signals into Wi-Fi signals for mobile phones to connect. However, Donovan did not disclose the specific product information of the 5G mobile hotspot to shareholders.
