NB-IoT and LoRa will achieve common development in 2019

In 2018, the Internet of Things entered a stage of comprehensive development. The results of the three major operators in the field of Internet of Things were numerous, and chip module manufacturers were also pushing for gravity. According to the China Communications Academy data, according to the "2018 Internet of Things White Paper" report, the scale of the domestic Internet of Things has reached 1.2 trillion, and 80% of the 13 trillion Internet of Things industry proposed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in 2016 has achieved rapid development. At the same time, the Internet of Things promotes the transformation of enterprises and promotes the transformation and upgrading of enterprises. From the development trend, we can see that the Internet of Things has become one of the major trends.
In the Internet of Things, NB-IoT is closely linked to operators. The joining of operators has greatly promoted the development of the Internet of Things. This year, the Radio Management Bureau of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the "Review of the "Micro-Power Short-range Radio Transmission Equipment Catalogue and Technical Requirements" Announcement (Draft for Comment), which will be used for the further use of LoRa.
NB-IOT and LoRa

At present, the three major operators and equipment manufacturers have made important progress in the field of NB-IoT. For example, in 2018, China Telecom has provided services to more than 8,000 customers, and the number of NB-IoT connections has exceeded 20 million. China Mobile has fully launched NB-IoT network construction in 348 cities, and strives to achieve nationwide coverage by the end of 2018. Coverage at the township level or above; China Unicom announced in May that it has completed the upgrade of 300,000 N B-IoT base stations, with the goal of achieving 130 million IoT connections by the end of 2018.
Due to its flexibility and industrial ecology, LoRa is easy to leverage its advantages in private networks and accelerate application adoption. At present, China Unicom, Ali and Tencent have joined LoRa's camp. Unicom officially released the "LoRa Connection Management Platform". Alibaba Cloud will widely use LoRaWAN for campus management, smart water meters, smart meters, smart manhole covers, cargo monitoring and other scenarios. At the same time, the addition of Tencent Cloud will further accelerate the adoption of LoRa technology. Due to the application scenarios of NB-IoT and LoRa, the application scope of the Internet of Things will be expanded next year.
IoT realizes platformization and strengthens security management
With the development of the Internet of Things, the demand for the framework of the Internet of Things is becoming more and more important. The cross-border integration, innovation and scale development of the Internet of Things have positively promoted the digital transformation and upgrading.
Through the development of the Internet of Things in recent years, it is expected that the Internet of Things will be platformized in 2019. At present, the information industry group is building internal digital management and external commercial IoT platforms, such as the three major operators' network platforms, the BAT three giant Internet of Things platforms and so on. At the application level, the fields of industry, transportation, medical care, and new retail have been widely used. The Internet of Things terminals generally have unattended characteristics and are more powerful in promoting platform construction.
At the same time, the development of the Internet of Things has a positive impact on the development of car networking and smart cities. Such as the essence of smart cities, relying on big city management and development of big data. Among them, the data is connected and shared, and intelligent management is completed through processing and algorithms. But for now, the security of IoT systems is mainly focused on security issues introduced by technical defects, misuse, neglect of management, and human confrontation. In the third quarter of this year, the National Industrial Information Security Development Research Center monitored several vulnerabilities in the Internet of Things. How to carry out security precautions is particularly important.
In order to urge the resale enterprises to strictly improve the Internet of Things industry, the state has introduced a number of major Internet of Things regulatory policies in 2018. For example, the “Notice of the General Office of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on Strengthening Source Governance to Further Improve the Safety Management of Industry Cards for Mobile Communications Resale Enterprises” issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, clarifying functional restrictions, establishing industry card security assessment systems, and strengthening industry card technology testing capabilities, etc. Ten articles; the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology launched a network security inspection of the telecommunications and Internet industries in 2018. It proposed to examine the network infrastructure of telecommunications and Internet industries, user information and network data collection, enterprise portals and billing systems, domain name systems, mobile application stores, and the public. Key Internet of Things platforms such as wireless LAN and public video surveillance cameras.
Security is a topic of great concern in life applications, but the current application attributes of the Internet of Things are still in a state of ignorance. How to use its attributes to ensure the connection between things, to ensure that the blockchain validates valid information in IoT applications. It requires the joint efforts of the industry. With the maturity of NB-IoT technology, I believe that smart cities will be more "smart" next year.
