5G commercial proximity, communication equipment vendors compete for cakes

With the approach of 5G commercial timetable, Huawei, ZTE, Samsung, Ericsson and Nokia and other communications equipment vendors are vying for the cake in the 5G market.
The White Paper on 5G Economic and Social Impacts issued by China’s Xintong Institute predicts that by 2020, 5G will indirectly drive GDP growth by more than 419 billion yuan; by 2030, 5G-driven direct output and indirect output will reach 6.3 trillion yuan respectively. And 10.6 trillion yuan.

Recently, at the 9th Global Mobile Broadband Forum, Huawei announced that the company has been recognized by nearly 50 telecom operators around the world and has shipped 10,000 5G base stations, mainly to Europe, the Middle East and other markets. Huawei's 5G commercial contract has been signed 22, reaching half of the global share.
In the field of 4G mobile communications, Huawei already has great advantages. The data shows that Huawei's 4G technology patents reached 603, ranking first, followed by Nokia, Ericsson and ZTE.
As a giant company in China's other communications equipment business, ZTE is also working hard in the 5G field and ambitious.
On November 27th, at the International Symposium on Information and Communication Technology in the Future of 2018, ZTE said that so far, serialized products based on 3GPP standards include 5G NR series products, 5G bearer network solutions, and 4G and 5G core networks. The solution has been completed, and ZTE also said that 5G commercial terminals will be launched in 2019.
At present, Samsung is interested in developing its communications equipment business to suppress Huawei and reduce the pressure on Huawei in the mobile phone market. Previously, Samsung announced that it will invest 22 billion US dollars to develop 5G network technology, and plans to obtain a fifth of the global 5G market by 2020, which is considered to directly meet the "quarter" market share target proposed by ZTE.
Ericsson, a global old-fashioned communications equipment supplier, also pays special attention to the 5G market. On October 10, 2018, Ericsson announced the official opening of the 5G global roadshow and Beijing as the first stop of the roadshow. During the road show, Ericsson presented a number of 5G products and solutions.
A little different from other equipment vendors, Nokia is paying more attention to the strategy of combining vertical and horizontal when it seizes the 5G market. It has extensively cooperated with upstream and downstream enterprises in China and Europe and the United States to try to lay a huge 5G roadmap.
According to the latest news, on November 22, Nokia announced that it will merge mobile network and fixed network services to form a new department called "Access Network", in order to target the 5G market.
